COLOMBO (News 1st): The JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake recently commented on a series of matters, ranging from the economy to  a recent media briefing by the former President. MP Dissanayake said that there is "no point in speaking about Ravi Karunanayake, Malik Samarawickrama, Lakshman Kiriella or even Moneragala Zoysa" without speaking about the sale of "certain resources". Then the MP turned his attention towards the former President, saying "If we speak of Mahinda we will have to speak about the expose's on the theft that had taken place during his administration". MP Anura Kumara stated that both camps have proved that they "cannot build the country". He then spoke on the media briefing convened by the former President, recalling a "valid question" by a journalist on the present status of the rupee. "Next to him (MR) was Weerawansa, no point asking him. The other side was also the same. Cabraal who was seated behind him whispered something to his ear. Mahinda repeats whatever is whispered to his ear. Are they leaders?", added MP Anura Kumara MP Dissanayake also pointed out the response when a journalist questioned about Keith Noyahr while the former President was speaking about the North: "Then he says there is no connection between the economy and Keith Noyahr. But the Northern Elections is connected to the economy according to him. These are people who only respond to matters that benefit them and refuse to answer on matters that don't benefit them..." The JVP leader also commented on the present state of affairs. He pointed out that foreign nations have already taken over Sri Lanka and that the Singapore FTA had been signed to satisfy the needs of other countries. MP Anura Kumara also stated that fmr. President Mahinda Rajapaksa went to India in a bid to draw plans to build the next government. "There was an issue with the President and the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister goes and meets with the US Ambassador. When the budget speech was delivered, two members from the IMF were seated in the gallery. Rajapaksa and Ranil Wickremesinghe are thieves. I will prove it. Aren't Kiriella , Ravi Karunanayake, Basil Rajapaksa thieves? Can anyone say they are not thieves? These are people who looted public funds to the tune of billions. We are prepared to prove it to the country." he added. MP Anura Kumara also spoke about the "group of thieves" governing this country. "A case on the bond scam will not be filed against Ranil Wickremesinghe. But, if they file a case because I said, Ranil Wickremesinghe can meet me in court and on that day I will prove his connection to the Bond Scam ..." - said the JVP leader.
