COLOMBO (News 1st) – The price of a kilogram of sugar has been increased by Rs. 15 with immediate effect.

Deputy Director of the Sugar Importers Association, Hemaka Fernando stated that they had to increase the price due to an increase in taxes.

Accordingly, the wholesale price of a kilogram of sugar will be Rs. 105.
