Colombo HC allows MP Rohitha Abeygunawardene to fly to Italy and Norway

Colombo (News1st): Colombo High Court Judge Sampath Wijeratne has permitted MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena to travel overseas from the 30th of September to the 16th of October. Permission was granted after taking into consideration a request made by the MP to fly to Italy on a personal visit and to fly to Norway to attend a Workshop for Parliamentarians on Reconciliation. The High Court Judge ordered the release of the MPs passport under the Rs. 1 Million personal surety. The Judge also called on officials to fax the order immediately to the Controller of Immigration and Emigration and the State Intelligence Agency. The case was postponed to the 19th of October.
