DIG Nalaka De Silva transferred to the Police IT Division

COLOMBO (News 1st) - DIG Nalaka De Silva, who was in-charge of the Terrorist Investigation Division, has been transferred to the Police Information Technology Division with immediate effect. Speaking to News 1st on the matter, Police Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekera said the IGP had made the transfer based on the approval of the National Police Commission. Meanwhile, Secretary to the National Police Commission Saman Dissanayake confirmed that the decision will be in effect till investigations into him conclude.
