Proposal on post war HR to be presented to UN

Colombo (News 1st) - President Maithripala addressing heads of media institutions at a briefing, spoke about a series of proposals to be presented on human rights, to the UN. He said a series of proposals with solutions on matters pertaining to the UNHRC and UN will be presented to the UN General Assembly on the 25th of this month. The President says he hopes to draw international attention towards solving the post-war situation in Sri Lanka in a cordial manner. He added he will take steps to present the proposals to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
