Colombo (News 1st) – Baddegama police raided an illegal alcohol production house in Baddegama.

The raid was carried out last night (September 13), based on a tip-off.

Police said the illegal alcohol production house was in operations for a period of time in a paddy field in Sangdaragama, Baddegama.

02 people were present at the location during the time of the raid, and one of them was taken into police custody while the other suspect had fled the area.

The suspect who escaped has been identified and the police have launched investigations to apprehend him.

The arrested suspect will be produced before the Baddegama magistrate court today (September 14).

1 goda barrel, 25 bottles of spirit and several other equipment used in the production process were taken into police custody.
