FTA needs to be amended - President Sirisena

Colombo (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena speaking to heads of media institutions this morning (September 14) said amendments will be made to the FTA with Singapore based on the recommendations given by the committee appointed to study it. He further said if it is found that the FTA contains harmful factors, he will not hesitate to take appropriate action on the matter. The President has requested all sectors to appear before the committee appointed to probe the Singapore FTA and provide details pertaining to the FTA.
