Cannabis to be grown for ayurvdeic medicine in SL

Colombo (News 1st) - Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said a cabinet paper has been presented for the cultivation of hemp also known as cannabis, for Ayurvedic Medicinal purposes. The Minister hopes this paper will be taken up for discussion. He advised Ministers in-charge of Indigenous medicine to have a formal procedure for distribution and transportation of hemp as there are pending issues on the matter.
