Colombo (News1st): Former Secretary of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa provided a statement to the Criminal Investigations Department for almost 04 hours this morning (September 12).

He visited the Criminal Investigations Department this morning (September 12) to provide a statement over the abduction and assault of journalist Keith Noyahr.

At the previous court hearing, the Attorney General informed it was necessary to record statements from both Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Former Army Commander and Present Minister Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka.

After providing the statement, Rajapaksa left the CID premises without making any comment to the media.
