MR couldn't run the Government by 2015 - PM

Colombo (News1st) - The UNP Kandy bala mandala meeting was held on Sunday (Sept 9) under the auspices of UNP leader, PM Ranil Wickremesinghe and ministers including Lakshman Kiriella and Akila Viraj Kariyawasam. Addressing the gathering the PM spoke about the former President and the circumstances under which the current Government came into power. Wickremesinghe stated that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa held the presidential election in 2015, 2 years before schedule, because he could no longer run a functioning Government. The Premier stated that there were plenty of people who warned against the taking up the leadership of the country and likened it to consuming poison. However, according to Ranil Wickremesinghe, they have been able to work successfully and get a lot done despite not creating too many job opportunities.
