Digana Unrest : Suspects further remanded

Colombo (News1st): Eight suspects including Amith Jeewan Weerasinghe, the leader of a group known as Mahasohon Balakaya were further remanded until the 21st of September. The Terrorist Investigation Division produced a progress report on the probe to Acting Theldeniya Magistrate Varuni Yaparatne today (September 7). Suspect Amith Jeewan was brought to court from the Anuradhapura Prison while the other seven suspects were brought from the Dumbara Prison. They were arrested and remanded over the unrest that took place in Digana and Theldeniya in March.
