54 children hospitalized due to food poisoning

COLOMBO (News 1st) - 54 children have been admitted to the Watawala hospital yesterday (September 05) due to food poisoning. The Police stated that the children between 1-10 years old are residents of Templestowe Estate. News 1st correspondent reported that the children had fallen ill after consuming a meal provided by an NGO last evening. A spokesperson for the Watawala hospital stated that the affected children show symptoms of diarrhoea and none of them are in critical condition. 19 children are still receiving in-house treatment
