Deputy Min Ramanayake's contempt of Court case to be heard before a 5 judge bench

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The contempt of court case filed against Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake will be taken up before a 5 judge bench on the 10th, 11th and 12th of December. The case was taken up today before a bench comprising of Chief Justice Priyasad Depp, Vijith Mallalgoda, and L.T.B. Dehideniya. The Attorney General's Department presented a list of 14 witnesses to the court which included heads of certain media institutions. The evidence presented to the court includes 4 DVDs and 4 paper articles. Summons were issued on 6 of the 14 witnesses to appear before the court on the 10th of this month.
