Nurses in Uva launch one day strike

Colombo (News1st) - Nurses, as well as those engaging in professions supplementary to medicine and para medical services in the Uva provice, have decided to engage in a one day strike. Trade union leaders state that the strike action will commence at 7am in protest against the failure to provide arrears overtime payments. The trade unions point out that those engaging in the strike action have not received their overtime payments for the years 2016 and 2017.
