Accidents in Dambulla & Warakapola claim 2 lives

Colombo (News 1st) - Two individuals died and another was injured due to accidents in Dambulla and Warakapola. The accident in Dambulla took place when a cab taking a turn in the Dambulla-Kurunegala main road, collided with an oncoming lorry. The driver of the cab died in the collision while the lorry driver was taken into custody. In another accident, which took place in the Warakapola-Karavanalla main road in Thumbaliyadda, a pedestrian died when a motorcycle crashed into him. The victim was identified as a 65 year old, the driver of the motorcycle who was critically injured had been admitted to the emergency ward of the  Kegalle General Hospital. The police suspect the accident was caused due to high speed.
