Rs. 1.2 mn nabbed from businessman in Denipitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - An unidentified gang has stolen a total of 1.2 million rupees from a businessman in Denipitiya, Weligama. The theft had occurred while the businessman was returning home from Bandarawela. The businessman had revealed to the Police that he was stopped by a group posing as STF officers and had robbed him while inspecting his vehicle. He had noted that the thieves had been armed. The Weligama Police has launched investigations into the theft.
