Over 500,000 new Samurdhi applicants

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Director General of the Samurdhi Development Department, J. Dadallage stated that Samurdhi benefits have been provided for more than 500,000 new Samurdhi applicants. The Director-General also continued to say, the evaluation process of the Samurdhi applicants was carried out at the divisional level. He added that within the next month more than 150,000 eligible individuals would be provided with the Samurdhi benefits. Currently, over 1,300,000 people recieve Samurdhi benefits.
