Gunmen attack gem merchant in Ratnapura

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A gem merchant has been shot at in the Marapana area Ratnapura. Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated the 59-year-old gem merchant was shot at, while he was driving to work at around 5 am today (August 14). The spokesperson also said that although the gem merchant had escaped without any injuries, a house and shop had been damaged by stray bullets.
