Sri Lankan Ambassadors and High Commissioners appointed

Colombo (News 1st) - The President's Media Division announced today that 10 new Sri Lankan Ambassadors and High Commissioners have been appointed. Under the new appointments, Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka has been appointed as the new Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia while Former Secretary to the President, Austin Fernando has been appointed as Sri Lanka's High Commissioner to India. In addition, Prof. Arusha Cooray has been appointed as Ambassador to Norway. M.M. Jaffeer has been appointed as Ambassador to Brazil. M.K.K. Girihagama as Ambassador to Canada. C.A.H.M. Wijeratne as Ambassador to Poland. S.S. Ganegama Arachchi has been appointed as Ambassador to Sweden and S.S. Premawardena as Ambassador to Vietnam. Anuruddha Kumara Mallimarathchi has been appointed as the new Sri Lankan High Commissioner to South Africa while Noordeen Mohamed Shaheid has been appointed the High Commissioner to Pakistan.
