CEB and PUCSL officials summoned before COPE

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Officials attached to the Ceylon Electricity and the Public Utilities Commission have been summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE). According to COPE the officials are due to appear before the committee today. Discussions are expected to take place on the process followed by the CEB in Power purchasing. On previous occasions, there have been allegations of impropriety on the part of the CEB when entering into agreements for power purchasing.
