STF raids illegal rock quarry in Pallebedda

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The police special task force raided an illegal rock quarry in Koswetiya, Pallebedda last evening. (August 05)
One suspect was arrested while an excavator and a truck were impounded. Area residents noted that a 3km long section of the road was damaged due to the functions of the quarry.
The suspect and the items seized were handed over to Godakawela police for further investigations.
