Weerawansa went onto state that those in power today are individuals who are willing to do anything for the foreigners governing the country.

Leader of the JVP, Anura Kumara Dissanayake also expressed similar sentiments he stated
“..It was Ranil Wickremesinghe that appointed Arjuna Mahendran as the Governor of the Central Bank. It is Ranil Wickremesinghe that acted to protect Arjuna Mahendran and it was Ranil Wickremesinghe that sent Arjuna Mahendran to Singapore. So where did the robbery happen from? It happened from Temple Trees and was steered by Ranil..”
