Shooting in Modara; 1 Dead

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Gopala Pillai Balachandran (62) was killed in a shooting in Mathuwella, Modara in Colombo yesterday afternoon (July 3). Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said an individual who arrived on a motorbike had shot the Balachandran and fled the scene. Balachandran was pronounced dead when he was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. ASP Gunasekara stated Balachandran was the father of Kukud Kanna who is wanted by the police.
