COLOMBO (News 1st) – Over 650 families that live in Nikagolla, Matale are facing serious difficulties due to the lack of clean drinking water.

According to the villagers in the area, it is difficult to provide water to the village due to its location.

Instead of waiting for the authorities to provide all the answers, the villagers got together and dug a 50-foot deep tube well.

However, due to the lack of resources, the area residents have been stuck in their efforts. They now require assistance from the proper authorities to build a water tower and lay down pipes to supply this water to the village.
