Islandwide wild elephant survey in September

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Wild Life Department is planning on carrying out an island-wide survey of wild elephants from the 23rd to the 25th of September. According to a spokesperson at the department, circuit bungalows of the department would be closed down and tourists would not be able to make any reservations within these days due to the survey. Wildlife sanctuaries located island-wide would also be shut down during this period.
