REUTERS - Hollywood movie studio Warner Bros showed off its sci-fi and fantasy films for the coming year at a panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 21). Among the offerings was DC Comics' 'Aquaman' starring Jason Momoa, Nicole Kidman and Amber Heard. Fans finally got a view of the trailer, which has been delayed because of the complex new special effects of appearing to film scenes underwater. It marked Kidman's first visit to Comic-Con, which she said was a delight to attend. "The energy of just pure fans in a room like that is what's very powerful," she told Reuters at a press line after the panel, adding, "You feel the warmth and the infectious enthusiasm, and I love doing things that I've never done before." Momoa, who plays the titular character of 'Aquaman', was thrilled with the trailer shown to the fans and quipped, "You got to be an asshole if you don't like that trailer." Millie Bobby Brown steps out of the television show 'Stranger Things' to appear in the sequel to the 2014 film 'Godzilla', 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters'. Michael Dougherty directs and said he wanted to make a fresh monster film by doing something different. "I'm really fascinated by the idea that these aren't just big giant monsters, that they were actually worshiped as gods thousands of years ago," he told Reuters. "I feel like there's a responsibility to portray them that way. You know, it's not just about them knocking over buildings or having fights with each other, there's a sense of beauty and power that I wanted to convey." Warner Bros also showed off the latest trailer for 'Harry Potter' prequel 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald', which sees a return to Hogwarts School. The film also introduces a young Professor Dumbledore (Jude Law), who was prevalent in the original franchise. He's teaming up with Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to try and capture the villain Grindelwald, now played by Johnny Depp. San Diego Comic Con continues until Sunday (July 22).
