Reuters –  Serena Williams was cheered on from the Royal Box by her close friend Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, during Saturday’s (July 14) Wimbledon final against Angelique Kerber.

Earlier Meghan and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the venue in south London to watch the conclusion of the men’s semi-final between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Djokovic finally won after more than five hours on court in a match that began late on Friday (July 13) night.

The royal sisters-in-law met officials and spoke to ball boys and girls, before being led to their seats in Centre Court. Williams of USA plays Germany’s Kerber for the women’s title for the second time in three years.
