COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal presented by Min. Naveen Dissanayake, to impose a fixed cess tax of Rs.10.00 per kilogram on Stock Exportation of Tea.

Co-Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Gayantha Karunathilake noted that this is being done to overcome difficulties faced by the Tea exporters.
