Boat capsizing in Ampara kills 4

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The body of a school security guard who drowned in the Ekgal-oya in Damana Ampara, has been found. Police state the remains of the principal, teacher and a student who died in the same incident were found yesterday (July 8). The victims had drowned in the Ekgal-oya yesterday at 6.30 a.m when it had been capsized. 9 people had been on the boat at the time of the incident. The residents of the area had managed to rescue 5 of them. The group had arrived at Ampara for a school trip.
