COLOMBO (News 1st) - The launch of the SLFP Bala Mandala for the Panduwasnuwara area took place on Saturday (July 07) under the auspices of SLFP General Secretary Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa and MP Dayasiri Jayasekara. Speaking at the event MP Dayasiri Jayasekara stated that he is with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, but there are rumors about him leaving the party. He said during the Presidency of Mahinda Rajapaksa there were 147 MPs to back his decisions. Jayasekara noted that this why decisions were taken against the likes of Shirani Bandaranaike and Sarath Fonseka. Dayasiri believes that the current state of confusion in the country is created as a result of the President's lack of power in Parliament. He went onto to describe PM Ranil Wickremesinghe as a person who is always thinking of selling state resources and stated that all proposals presented to cabinet were against the people of this country.
