CPC fuel prices increased

COLOMBO (News 1st) The prices of Petrol and Diesel at the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) was increased from midnight yesterday (July 05). The Finance Ministry said that according to the new pricing formula, the prices of Petrol and Diesel will be amended on a weekly basis. Based on the new pricing formula, a liter of 92 Octane Petrol was increased by Rs. 8 and accordingly, a liter of 92 Octane Petrol will now be sold at Rs. 145. The price of a liter of 95 Octane Petrol was increased by Rs. 7 and the new price of it will be Rs. 155. The Ministry added a liter of Diesel was increased by Rs. 9 while a liter of Super Diesel was increased by Rs. 10. As a result, a liter of Diesel will now be priced at Rs. 118 rupees, while a liter of Super Diesel will now be Rs. 129. The Finance Ministry further noted that the prices of Kerosine Oil will not be amended based on the new pricing formula.
