Brazilian cocaine smuggler arrested at BIA

21.17 pm:  Another Brazilian citizen has been arrested at the Bandaranayake International Airport today, (July 01)  with 5 cocaine capsules hidden in his abdomen. The 24-year-old suspect was also produced before the Negombo Magistrates court today.   COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Police Narcotics Bureau stated that 58 capsules of cocaine were discovered hidden in the abdomen of a Brazilian who was arrested at the Bandaranayake International airport. The stock weighing 500g was worth 13 million rupees. The suspect who arrived from Doha Qatar was arrested last morning. (June 30) The arrest was made during an investigation carried out based on a tip-off that a foreigner was bringing in cocaine. The 30-year-old suspect is to be produced before the Negombo Magistrates court today. (July 01)
