Gas prices reduced

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The ministry of industry and commerce issuing a media release announced that the price of a 12.5kg LP Gas cylinder has been reduced by 138 rupees with immediate effect. Thereby a gas cylinder which was sold at a cost of 1,676 rupees will now be sold at 1,538 rupees. The release noted that the Consumer affairs authority has sent the two determination letters today to the companies concerned. The decision to reduce the price of LP gas was taken following the Cost of Living Committee meeting held on the 26th of June.
