Matara shootout: Underworld leader Habarakada Wasantha's wife arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police Media Spokesperson, SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated three suspects connected to the recent robbery at a jewellery shop in Matara, have been identified and key underworld figure "Habarakada Wasantha" is also among them. While inspecting the suspect's residence the police were able to find a revolver firearm and several bullets, which is suspected to had been used in the shootout. Following the inspection, the wife of "Habarakada Wasantha" had been arrested and been handed over to the Organised Crimes Investigation Division, for further investigations.
