COLOMBO (News 1st) – A special committee has been appointed to look into making exams easier in the primary grades of schools.
The committee consists of five senior officials of the Department of Examinations, five medical specialists and two senior officials of the Ministry of Education.
According to the Department of Examinations, the relevant committee is engaged in a special study on the relaxation of the examination of the students in the first, second and third grades. The purpose of this is to change the school exam system in a suitable way for children’s mindset.
The Department of Examinations further stated that it will be sent to the Ministry of Education after receiving the recommendations of the committee.
