Over Rs. 8mn stolen from ATMs in Negombo and Ja-ela

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - Two suspects have been arrested in Kurana, Negombo in connection to swindling more than 8 Million Rupees from Automated Teller Machines. According to the Police, the suspects had swindled money from ATMs in the Negombo and Ja Ela police divisions. Following interrogation, 2.8 Million Rupees and a motorcycle have been taken into police custody. The Police stated that the two suspects are aged 26 years and are residents of Negombo. They are to be produced before the Negombo Magistrates Court today (June 17).
