Leader of North Korea meets the Prime Minister of Singapore

North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un met with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsein Lung ahead of the historic summit with President Trump. Shortly after arriving in Singapore, the North Korean leader engaged in a visit to the Istana; the official residence of the Prime Minister. While praising the efforts taken for the summit by Singapore, Kim added: "if the summit produces positive outcomes, then the Singaporean government's effort will be recorded in history forever." Accompanying the North Korean leader is his sister Kim Yong Chol, the Defence Minister, Foreign Minister and two other senior party officials. A statement from Singapore's Foreign Ministry said that the Prime Minister commended this remarkable endeavour taken by both Kim and Trump.
