UNP back-bench MPs to be appointed as Deputy Ministers

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Reports have surfaced that six UNP Back-Bench Parliamentarians are to be appointed as Deputy Ministers. Minister of Social Welfare and Primary Industries, Daya Gamage said that they will be appointed as Deputy Ministers based on their talents and seniority. According to the Minister of Law and Order, Ranjith Madduma Bandara, 16 Ministers and Deputy Ministers resigned recently which made a few Ministries vacant. He added that there are no Deputy Ministers in both his ministries.
