Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is not trying to divide the European Union (EU). "We do not aim to divide the EU," Putin told Austrian public broadcaster ORF. His remarks come ahead of a visit to Austria, his first trip to a Western European country in nearly a year. Putin is scheduled to travel to Austria on June for talks expected to focus on Russia's role in the conflict in Eastern Ukrain and the EU sanctions against Moscow. Putin will meet Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and Chancellor Sebastian Kurz as well.
