Power failures reported in several areas

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy said power failures have been reported in several areas of the island due to strong winds.
Media Spokesperson of the Ministry Sulakshana Jayawardena said power supply in the areas of Teldeniya, Dambulla, Nawula, Kundasale, Raagala and Badulla have been suspended.
He noted that measures are underway to restore the power supply.
