Sirasa Shakthi Sahana Yathra continues mission to provide aid to those affected

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Relief items donated by the general public to the Sirasa Shakthi TV1 Sahana Yathra as an aid for the flood-affected victims, were distributed to disaster-stricken areas today (May 26) as well. The Sahana Yathra is the outcome of a collective effort of The Capital Maharaja Organization Limited and the selfless contributions of the general public. Aid was distributed to those affected in the Puttalam District till midnight yesterday (May 25). The relief items donated by the general public of this country were distributed right to the hands of the flood-affected with the assistance of state officials in the area. Meanwhile, at around 7 AM, another team set off from the Head Office of The Capital Maharaja Organization Limited in Braybrooke Place, in search of flood affected victims in the Kurunegala Districts. The team began distributing aid at the St. Anne's Church in Kattimahana, Udubaddawa around 11 AM. The team distributed aid to those affected in Lower Yagampola, Karandawila Rajamaha Viharaya, Kullicassim Muslim School, and the Sri Sudarshanarama Viharaya in Dummalasuriya More generous Sri Lankan's continued to drop off aid to the flood-affected at the Capital Maharaja Organization Limited Head Office today as well.
