16 SLFP defectors to meet Former President on Monday

COLOMBO (News 1^st) – UPFA Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara states that they hope to establish a new Bala Mandala on the 20^th of August and attend the General Assembly of the party on the 02^nd of September. According to the Parliamentarian Jayasekara, President has announced a date to decide on leaving the government and have stated that continuing with the government will be disastrous for the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. MP Jayasekara stated that the 23 MPs in government must decide carefully as they are of the view, they need to withdraw as a party and that it is not an issue for them if some want to remain. But he said that there is no point in the SLFP remaining with this government any further. Dayasiri Jayasekara state that on 21^st of May that is the coming Monday they will be meeting the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. And further, he says that they are to meet with other political party leaders such as Sampanthan, and will start to prepare a policy based program.
