Gotabhaya plays coy about presidential aspirations

Colombo (News1st) - UPFA MP W.D.J. Seneviratne says that Former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is a suitable candidate to lead his party in the future. Seneviratne who is part of the 16 SLFp members to defect from the Government stated that he had not left the party even though he left the Government. The MP made these comments during a function which also saw the attendance of GotabhayaRajapaksa. Journalists questioned Rajapaksa whether he has any aspiration to come forward as a Presidential Candidate. Rajapaksa responded by saying that he is not to make a decision in this regard. He added that he would make a decision after his brother former President Mahinda Rajapaksa takes a decision on this subject.
