131 Sri Lankans arrested while attempting to illegally migrate

Colombo (News1st) - International media has reported that a boat carrying 131 Sri lankan nationals has been taken into custody by Malaysian Authorities. The individuals are suspected be illegal migrants attempting to travel to Australia and New Zealand. The group includes 24 women and 9 children. Authorities state that investigations into the matter are continuing and that they believe this is part of a larger human trafficking ring. The arrested group is currently being questioned by the Malaysian Police.
