Price of a 1kg pack of milk powder increased by Rs 50

Colombo (News1st) - The Consumer Affairs Authority says that approval has been granted to to increase the price of a 1 Kilogram pack of Milk Powder by 50 rupees. This price increase comes into effect from midnight. The Consumer Affairs Authority says they granted approval to milk powder companies to increase their prices in line with the recommendation issued by the Cost of Living Committee. The Consumer Affairs Authority added the price increase will not impact Infant Formula. The price increase is only applicable to milk powder products produced after the 5th of May.
