Will the CAA increase milk powder prices?

Reports suggest that Milk powder importers have stopped importing new stocks of milk powder pending a request made by them to increase the prices of their products. The reports suggest that existing stocks could last till the end of the month. News1st has learned that the milk powder importers have requested the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) to provide a Rs 100 increase to the price of a packet of milk powder. News1st is yet to receive an official comment from the CAA in this regard.
