27 suspects linked to Kandy unrest further remanded

Colombo (News1st) - 27 suspects who have been arrested in connection with the recent violence in the Kandy area have been further remanded till the 14th of this month. The suspects were remanded once again after being produced before the Theldeniya Magistrate. Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) candidate Samantha Perera who was elected to the Kundasale Pradeshiya Sabah is among the suspects who were remanded once again. The Magistrate ordered that the PS member be allowed to attend the PS session scheduled for the 9th of this month under the protective custody of Prison officials.
