North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has said he will suspend all missile tests and shut down a nuclear test site with immediate effect. “The nuclear test site has done its job,” Kim said in a statement carried by North Korea’s state media. The Korean Central News Agency reports that North Korea will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles from the 21st of April. The surprising announcement comes just six days before Kim is set to meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The annoucement also came days after  President Trump dispatched C.I.A. director Mike Pompeo to North Korea for a secret meeting with Kim Jong-un to lay the groundwork for a summit meeting between Kim and Trump.   "This is very good news for North Korea and the World - big progress!," Donald Trump tweeted after Kim's announcement.
