WEATHER ALERT : Fishermen requested to refrain from setting off to sea

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) says sea areas off the coasts of Puttalam, Negombo, Colombo, Kalutara, Hambantota to Batticaloa will be rough from tonight (April 21) until April 23. Assistant Director of the Centre, Pradeep Kodippili, said waves could rise by 2 meters to 3 meters. The DMC has requested fishermen in the above-stated areas to refrain from setting off to sea as it can be very rough.
