Examinations Dept. looking into possibility of online exams

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Examinations Department has announced that it is looking into conducting exams and evaluation processes online. A foreign training regarding this will be provided to officials of the Department of Examinations and the National Institute of Education. The Education Ministry said twelve officers of the Examination Department and three senior lecturers of the National Institute of Education will leave the country tomorrow (April 22), to attend a training programme regarding online examinations at the Putra University in Malaysia. The Education Ministry said steps have been taken to modernise the examination process followed by the Examinations Department.
